Augmented reality could give surgeons X-ray vision when they operate

MediView XR technology gives surgeons the ability to look inside patients and see their internal anatomy under the skin using Microsoft HoloLens or similar AR glasses. This includes organs, blood vessels, bones, and other structures such as cancerous lesions. All this is thanks to a system that “fuses” the readings of sensors from ultrasound devices with CT or MRI scans to provide an x-ray image that does not involve repeated exposure to x-rays. A three-dimensional image in AR means that surgeons can move around patients and continue to see their internal anatomy in the correct position and at the right angle.
