Silpo — one of Ukraine’s largest grocery retail chains, known for its creative approach and active use of gamification to engage customers.
As part of the New Year campaign, our goal was to create an interactive experience within the Silpo mobile app that would:
The core idea of the project was to show that an “imperfect Christmas” can still be fun, sincere, and truly magical.
Project Business Goals:
We developed the New Year game “Gingerbread Hunters”, integrated directly into the Silpo mobile app. The game combined festive spirit, humor, and a rewards system.
"Catch the Gingerbread"— a dynamic game with unlimited daily attempts, encouraging players to come back again and again. The main goal is to reach the TOP-10 and win Silpo Christmas baskets.
Advent Calendar — a daily game unlock with the chance to earn bonuses such as discounts, free delivery, and other delightful rewards.
Unique visual style:
A specially designed look conveys the atmosphere of an “imperfect Christmas” — melting dough, a broken timer, burnt-out garlands, and other funny details that give the game character and recognizability.
Gamified shopping:
Game mechanics transform ordinary app interactions into an interactive holiday adventure.

The game “Gingerbread Hunters” became a full-fledged New Year entertainment for Silpo users, combining humor, festive spirit, and real rewards. The project increased audience engagement, made app usage more emotional, and once again demonstrated that gamification can turn an ordinary shopping experience into a memorable one.
