Coca-Cola is launching its Christmas promotions in late 2019 with the first large-scale augmented reality (AR) experience. By scanning specially marked cans and bottles using the Coca-Cola mobile app, smartphone users can see a computer image of the “Arctic Home” of Coca-Cola polar bears according to the announcement. Smartphone users who scan two cans together will see a family of polar bears tapping Jingle Bells on glass soda bottles. Coke's Sundblom Santa Claus is featured in an AR experience activated by six-pack glass bottle carriers. This is not the first experience of using the AR giant, but this is the first large-scale action in our USA.
