ALIEN AR EFFECT

In collaboration with a French creative agency Wonderdice, we developed an AR effect specially for the 40th anniversary screenings of the 20th Century Fox’s Alien movie in 10 cinemas of the Kinepolis network.

We created a new digital dimension of interacting with iconic Alien characters for the fans. Anyone could scan a QR code with a smartphone to turn it into a motion tracker to witness the approach of the Facehugger and then… JUMP! the little beast is sucked in to your face! The effect then could track head movements for you to shake off the nasty monster.
